Is Tuukka Sabotaging Claude's Livelihood?

The B's dropped another BAD one last night to the Red Wings 6-5 in a shootout. Came out super hot to a 3-0 lead in the first, then bumped it to 4-1. And then the wheels fell off. The Wings bounced back to tie it up 4-4 off 3 unanswered, before the Darth Quaider quickly responded with a blast from the point to take the 5-4 lead. The B's played a solid third period and looked like despite the hiccup, they were gonna pull this one out. Until Tuukka decided he has had enough of Claude and showed ZERO effort on the tying goal with 2 minutes to play in the third. Coincidence? Maybe. Until we fast forward to the shootout.

Tuuk makes a save off a nothing move to kick things off. Then old man Tomas Vanek comes down and pulls the most men's league shootout move ever, essentially a slap pass-shot, to which Tuuk didn't even react! Just let him go bar down in one of the goofiest displays of a shootout goal I've ever seen. Next up was Frans Nielsen. The Wings lone 2017 All Star and life time 50% shootout scorer. And not just 4 for 8 50%, 43 for 86 50%!!! The dude BURIES in shootout, so what does Tuuk do? A half-ass diving poke check while Frans is at the hash. Nielsen easily pops it to his back hand and buries, naturally. Gameover. B's blow a 4-1 lead. Claude's all but gone.

5 goals for. You can't point the finger at the lack of scoring, like you usually could throughout the season. When Claude's back was against the wall, the boys showed up with hot sticks. That leave's Tuukka. Is Tuukka not team Claude? He must want him gone! I'm thinking Claude and The Zane ZoneTM have gotten buddy-buddy and Tuuk feels threatened. He knows Claude is on the hot seat, so by throwing a few games, the front office will use Claude as the sacrificial lamb, and Tuukka will be safe for a few more years. Sad! I see right through you Tuuk, and your time is up! Do what's right Don Sweeney, fire Tuukka, not Claude.
