Some stellar news coming outta Nashville this week. After another massive stadium tour this summer, Kenny announced he wasn't gonna go on tour in 2017. Can't blame the guy. As much as you hate to see it, my man is getting up there, he's 48 years old now. FORTY EIGHT! Had no idea until I just wikipedia'd it right now. I know he's been around a while now but I thought he was low 40's like 42. He looks great for a 48 year old though and still entertains the hell outta the audience at his shows. But this week Kenny decided to flip the script and announce he's gonna play one stadium show in the summer of 2017 and you better believe it's at Gillette. Being the birth place of No Shoes Nation, can't really expect anywhere else to be the lone stop on next year's tour. I know he always says he loves Boston and it's his favorite place to play, but I always kinda had the sense that he says that about everywhere he goes, just like every artist. But I think this solidifies the fact that he actually does love playing here and how could you blame him. The atmosphere is electric, the tailgate is copious amounts of fun, and the traffic is miserable, the 3 most important ingredients to a kick ass concert. I went to my first Kenny show this summer and it lived up to everyone's hype. The dude really is the GOAT when it comes to performers (2nd to Luke of course) so if you've never been, I highly suggest hopping on the bandwagon and getting tickets to next summer's show, because if he sticks to his guns and this actually is his only stadium show of the summer it is gonna be BANANAS. VIP member tickets went on sale today and are open to the public on the 2nd. It's gonna sell out crazy quick, so I'd hop on it if you get the chance.
Also, no SHOT he doesn't add a second show for Saturday though.
Also, also, Kenny's latest album, Cosmic Hallelujah, came out like a month ago. If you haven't taken a listen I highly suggest you do. It's excellent stuff. Trip Around the Sun, Bar at the End of the World, Coach, & All the Pretty Girls are certified fire flame joints and gonna be all time Kenny songs. Jesus and Elvis is also a phenomenal slow Kenny jam. Real good album by the GOAT.
Also, also, also Kenny being 5'6" is wild, knew he was short but that's like reallyyyy short. Him standing next to Peyton Manning at the CMAs was lol
