3 Things I Know: NFL Week 9

Pats had a bye this week which meant there was nothing to watch on Sunday, especially with a 4 hour rain delay at the Texas Motor Speedway. However we'll persevere with the hand we were dealt with and break down what we saw. ENOUGH CHITTER CHATTER LETS HEAR WHAT I KNOW

1. Reggie Wayne needs to go LONG. Reggie Wayne is remembered to most as one of the best wide outs of his generation and the second best Colt wide out of all time. But in New England Reggie is remembered a little differently, he's remembered as that washed up wide out who wasn't having enough "fun" on the Patriots so he quit and missed out on a Super Bowl ring. It's easily forgotten, but a couple seasons ago Reggie parted ways with Indy and signed with the Pats. The guy only lasted like 3 weeks before he complained about the playbook being too difficult and that he wasn't having enough fun. Now don't get me wrong, here at KR fun is our number one priority, but when you're a professional athlete making millions of dollars to play a game, you have lost the right to talk about fun. Ask 99% of the people in this country is they have fun at their job and I guarantee they all have the same response. No. So for him to complain that he wasn't having fun was insanity, just like last week with Cam Newton. It's the NFL grow up. So anyways, Reggie came out yesterday saying he doesn't think TB12 should win MVP this year (no chance he doesn't) because he's a cheater. Go ALL the way long Reggie! Get outta my face with that nonsense. Like cmon man can you be any more bitter? Just cause you couldn't hack the Patriot Way doesn't mean you gotta go crying to the media. Reggie Wayne = certified baby.

2. The Raiders will lose to the Pats in the AFC Title game. Mentioned this quickly in a 3TIK a couple weeks back but the Raiders are the real deal and will be in the AFC Championship. Derek Carr is proving to be everything his big bro wasn't, Amari Cooper is a STUD. And Murray their running back has been putting up monster numbers. Mix that in with one of the best offensive lines in the league and a future Hall of Famer in Khalil Mack and you got the 2nd best team in the AFC. Jack Del Rio is also a savage who isn't afraid to roll the dice like he did week 1 going for 2 on two separate occasions. (However his son, QB1 of UF is quite the opposite, he's very not good) It's good to see though. Like the Cowboys, the NFL is simply better when the Raiders are good. And with Denver having a GARBAGE offense, Alex Smith being on and off the IR and San Diego being San Diego, the Raiders have their best shot at winning the West in a looooong time.

3. I LOVE this seasons kicking dramatics. Another week down, another example of the kicking dramatics that have taken the NFL by storm. this week we were lucky enough to have 2! First we had the Steelers kicker who attempted the swaggiest onsides kick ever but ultimately failed miserably. All in on it. If that worked, which it did once in college for him at Rice, it woulda been AWESOME. Behind the leg switcharoo holy moly is woulda been sweet. But it didn't and he probably got swirleyed by James Harrison after the game. Love it though, the ultimate high risk high reward play, this time just got the risk, next time will be the reward. Then last night we had Richard Sherman plow into the Bills Dan Carpenter and just didn't get called. Maybe the most obvious roughing the kicker of all time but refs just missed it. Love it. It's so bad that its awesome, like how do you call all these wild penalties and fine guys for celebrations but you just swallow the whistle on a critical field goal when he literally gets his leg taken off. Mind blowing. Also, Carpenter's wife came in hot on Twitter suggesting Sherman should be castrated. Interesting take. Love the kickers, love how they stink, love how they're not real athletes/humans.
