The 108 year wait is over. The good ole Cubbies FINALLY made it to the promised land after over a CENTURY of never winning. Let that sink in for a little. 108 years. Not a single person on this planet had ever seen the Chicago Cubs win a world series before. We literally all witnessed something for the first time last night, pretty wild. To be honest don't really know where I'm going with this blog but I figured something of that magnitude was worth talking about on the soon-to-be best sports blog in the world (Keno Radio, confidence is key). But just pretty nuts that the Cubs actually won it all. 108 years is to the point where its just like fake life. Like the Cubs were never gonna win another title ever again, it just wasn't in the cards. I think there should be a 100 year limit on anything in life though. If you can't figure something out after 100 years of trying you should be disqualified. Not just sports I'm talking everything. Actually lets make it 50 years because I just tried to think of something besides sports that's around for 100 years and I don't think there is anything. If you can't figure something out in 50 years you're disqualified. Can't find a wife by 50? Sorry, you're spending the rest of you're life alone. No kids after a half a century? Looks like you're the last in line of the gene pool. That seems fair to me. The only thing I can allow to go past 50 is staying alive. You're allowed to not die for as long as you want.
Got a little side tracked there, BACK TO THE CUBBIES. Definitely happy for em though, it's good to see a good baseball city get the W. Baseball is better when the Cubs are good, just like the NHL is better when Montreal & Toronto are good, the NBA when the Celtics, Lakers, and Sixers are good, and the NFL when the NFC East is good...which is why the NFL always stinks.
This has to cement Theo as the greatest GM of all time though right? Not just in baseball but in sports. The dude broke not one but TWO of the biggest curses in sports, with the Sox and now with the Cubs. And how bout him also having the most accurate 5 year plan of all time. Literally was hired 5 years ago and said they'd win it all in 5 years. Nuts. The Maple Leafs should probs hire him.
So way to go half of Chicago, or however many of you aren't White Sox fans, side note if you're a White Sox fan you're a weirdo, be a Cubs fan like a normal person. Enjoy it because it's only gonna last for the next like 5 years cause you guys are LOADED up with young talent and might go 162-0 next year. Cheers!
Also, shout out to the Arizona/St. Louis Football Cardinals now you guys have the longest title drought at a whopping 69 years!
Also, also I don't believe the Cardinals have been around since the 40s, no proof or evidence to back it up, just don't believe it. Isn't the Super Bowl only like 51 years old?
Also, also, also I swear I didn't mention that because it's a 69 year title drought.
Also, also, also, also yeah you're right I did. Nice.
SEE YOU GUYS IN GRAPEFRUIT LEAGUE
