3 Things I Know: NFL Week 5

NFL week 5 wrapped up last night with another can't miss game of Monday Night Football between the defending NFC champion Panthers and on the rise Buccaneers. Just kidding the NFL is a joke besides the Pats. ON TO WHAT I KNOW:
1. The Minnesota Vikings are a FRAUD. Every year a team starts out hot and people like to hop on the ban(d) wagon (not sure how to spell it, but I am sure I ain't hopping on) of a random NFC team who always ends up being a fraud. Last year was the Cardinals and this year is the Vikings. People love to think that these teams are legit because they have a solid defense, but always forget one thing. That's only half the battle! Ya gotta have an offense too ya dinks! Both the Cardinals last year and the Vikings this year have mediocre offenses at best. QB1 of Minnesota is Sam Bradford! Whatta BUM! Has there every been a more over-hyped player who legit hasn't done a thing in his career? I mean first he set the record for biggest contract by a 1st overall pick, then he does nothing in St. Louis, gets shipped to Philly for a good amount of picks and players, doesn't even win the starting job, demands a trade like a diva, then gets a trade to Minnesota for some more first round picks. I mean this guy has literally done nothing and people are trading first rounders left and right for him its bananas! SKOL = FRAUD.
2. The Cleveland Browns are way ahead of their time. Everyones sitting here, week 5 of the NFL season, throwing the crying laughing emoji on the Cleveland Browns. LOL the Browns stink! They've used 5 QBs this year ROFL! Not I. Not this podcaster/blogger/tent slinger. I see exactly what they're doing and it won't be long before the entire NFL takes notice and does the same. After their first 4 QBs didn't work out, they are now turning to a little guy by the name of Terrelle Pryor, former Ohio State Buckeye stud quarteback, turned Oakland Raider playmaker, turned Cleveland Brown dynamo. Little thing I like to call 2 birds, 1 stone, ever hear of it? The Browns picked up Terrelle Pryor to play QB and WR, whatever they need that game. 2 positions for the price of one player, it's genius! Save a boat load of money on the salary cap and have a decent player at 2 positions instead of a good and good player at 2 separate positions, it's genius I say! Just wait in a couple years you'll see Denard Robinson pop up back in the league, Edelman will take over for TB12, etc etc. Browns = advanced thinkers.
3. Kickers/punters/not real players need to figure it out. Touched on this in yesterdays blog on the Pats about how Gostowski is no longer automatic and I hate it. Kickers seem like they stink this year. the dude on Tampa Bay who they traded up to get has already missed 4 FGs this year, we got Gostowski missing what used to be chip shots, the Chargers punter had a 16 yard punt than muffed the snap on the game winning FG attempt to lose. Boys figure it out. The phrase "you have one job" gets tossed around pretty willy nilly these days but seriously kickers, punters, holders, special teams in general, you have legit one job, do it right. I need to see what it's like in the locker room for these guys when they royally mess up like last playoffs the Vikings kicker who SHANKED a chip shot to win. The players will always say it was a team loss but when the cameras are off there's no way Richie Incognito isn't giving all the special teamers swirlies and wedgies.
BONUS #4!!! College Football>NFL. The Red River Rivalry was this weekend and it did not disappoint. Absolute shoot out back and forth all game long with negative defense, just how college football is supposed to be played. OU ended up coming out on top, but Texas didn't make it easy. After that A&M squeaked by Tennessee in another shootout. College football is just so much better than the NFL, it's so exciting and they kids are straight up just not that good so at any second there can be a game changing mistake, it's unbelievable. There's a reason Saturdays are for the boys.
