I Gotta Do Something About My Hair

On the heels of the Top 10 Most Successful Bald Men blog I wrote a few days ago, it has me thinking. what do I do with my hair, or lack there of? Today I got a haircut, which as a folically challenged young adult is one of the most depressing things to do. Most of you probably don't have to deal with this so lemme tell you how it goes down. You walk in there hat on, trying to keep it a secret as long as possible. Check in and wait for the barber. Side note big Supercuts guy. Then when you get called you have the defining moment when the cats outta the bag. The barber always gives you a strange look like "wow this kid can barely grow peach fuzz but has the scalp of Tony Kornheiser". You sit down and they ask what you want. I try to lighten the mood by cracking a joke like the classic "I don't have much to work with so just make me look good, you're the professional LOL" to which they always crack a smile, partially out of laughter, but mostly out of pity. And then its the worst part. The spray bottle. A thinning haired man's worst nightmare. Everyone knows than if you have thin hair getting it wet is the ultimate give away. So they spray your hair and then they torture you by making you stare at yourself in a massive mirror for EVERYONE to see! It's horrible! It's just a massive reminder that you are an outcast from society and you can never be more than a 7 again and there's nothing you can do about it! And on top of all that it takes less than 3 minutes to cut my hair and you have to pay the barber the same price as someone with some luscious locks! It's blasphemy! I've said this before on the podcast but I am a firm believer that haircuts should be priced at a per volume rate. Sweep up all the hair from the ground and weigh it out and come up with a pay by weight pricing system. There's no way I should be paying the same price for a haircut as a guy with a full head of hair when it takes only a quarter of the time to cut mine. It's just not right.
So this got me thinking, what do i do with my hair. Is it time to go full shave? 23 years old looking like Mr. Clean? What's the protocol on that? Or do I embrace it and just let it ride and make it a look. It could be the opposite of the Julian Edelman, long on the sides buzz on top. Hair treatments like Roagine don't work (already tried) and impants is hella expensive so that;s out the window. Or maybe I should pick up smoking so my skin gets all leathery and wrinkly. Expedite the process so my hair matches my face. At some point my age will catch up with my hair, but until then I'm really in quite the predicament. Lemme know if you got any other ideas cause I'm duped.
