NFL Week 1: 3 Things I Know

September is in full swing and the NFL season is finally here which means one thing: it's officially hot, but correct, take season. 3 things I know is gonna be a weekly recap of the NFL highlighting 3 things I know after watching Sunday's games. Now listen, I played football all through middle school and was QB1 turned WR3 turned C1 in intramural flag football at UMass so I would say I know a thing or two about the ol' pig skin. So you might think some of these takes are far fetched or just to cause arise but you could not be more wrong, these are the 3 things I KNOW after week 1:
1. Mark Sanchez aka THE SANCHIZE will lead the Boys to the promised land. As you probably know Tony Romo got hurt again and is out for some amount of weeks. Jerry Jones has turned his team over to rookie (preseason) sensation Dak Prescott and picked up wily vet Mark Sanchez from the Broncos. Lotta hype going into week 1 for Dak because he had a pretty good preseason. He ended up playing pretty well but the Boys ultimately lost to the GMen at home, falling to 1-14 since Romo went down last season. If there's one thing JJ hates more than his son-in-law it's losing and he's not gonna stand for it much longer. Another loss in week 2 and Jones forces Jason Garrett to turn the team over to the Sanchize where he will go 6-8 and win a HORRIBLE NFC East, then lose in the first round aka the promised land.
Also, Mississippi St was the most overrated number 1 team of all time with Dak, I called them a huge fraud back in my WMUA days and got in a huge argument with my co-host. Next week they got waxed by Ole Miss. Don't question the takes son!
2. RGIII will bounce back from his injury and continue his MVP campaign. Just like clockwork RGIII made his Browns debut and got hurt. In typical RGIII fashion he was scrambling and wanted to show everyone he's still tough as nails even though he has Estonian permanently stenciled on his body. Lowers the shoulder and quickly realized he's still a noodle and gets hurt. HOWEVER let me be clear this is not the end of my man Bobby G, I still firmly believe he is going to win MVP this year because of the reverse Cleveland curse that I mentioned in a podcast a few months back. Cleveland is where good (usually over hyped) quarterbacks go to turn The Land around. And every time they end up just like the ones before them, outta the league in 2 years. But RGIII is taking a different route, he is coming in as a bum and is gonna leave as an MVP. Reverse the curse RGIII 2016 MVP STAMP IT!
3. TB12 will break my heart. To be honest I came up with this one before I watched the Pats this weekend but I'm still gonna stick to my guns. After 15 years, Tom Brady did not start this weekend for the Pats and will not play until week 5. In his absence the Pats have turned to Eastern Illinois alumnus Jimmy G to lead the worlds greatest offense. Now don't get me wrong TB12 is the goat and I have been blessed to call him my quarterback for the last 15 years. However if don't agree things have gotten a little stale you are lying to yourself. TB12 has been the epitome of consistency his whole career. But with that comes a TON of 10 yard outs and very few scrambles. Now if you know me you know I am a firm believer in sports being more than anything about entertainment. So after all these years I'm not gonna lie I am stoked to watch Jimmy G. What we've seen last season from him was a lot of not very good throws and miscommunication and scrambles. Which I love. Jimmy G is going to be a spark plug that brings some much needed excitement and uncertainty back to the Pats. So when TB12 inevitably comes back to reclaim his team in week 5, its gonna break my heart. I know it will be for the best in the long run, but in the moment it is gonna break my heart.
Also, like I said I came up with this before I saw the game, Jimmy G was essentially TB12 junior, not at all what I expected. Need him to pump the breaks and be way worse next week.
Also, also SNF is too late, I fell asleep at half time
