UMass Dining Brings Amherst First National Title Since 1998

This past week UMass Amherst dining was ranked number 1 in the country. Love it. Out of all the thousands of colleges and universities across the country I am proud to say that I've put the most delicious food in my mouth. This is a huge accomplishment for us Minutemen because we haven't had to many victories, let alone national championships, in a long time. I think the football team won a total of 6 games in my 4 years in Amherst, so being able to stick my flag in the notion that we have the tastiest food in the nation feels pretty damn good. Now to be honest I don't really know what the big deal was about the food at UMass. Don't get me wrong I am by no means complaining, the food was great, but it wasn't anything crazy special. If anything they were usually trying too hard to be different and be healthy resulting in some weird ass foods like pistachio pancakes or Mediterranean chili. Like yo were college kids we don't need to have culturally diverse food, just swing us some chicken fingers and za for dinner, a nice Italian foot long for lunch and maybe an omelette for breaky and call it a day. With that said the one big thing I gotta shout out UMass dining for was its hours. I had buddies at school where the dining halls closed at like 7. What the funks up with that! What if ya boys a little hungry at like 9 what am I supposed to do just not eat and stunt my growth?? No thanks. UMass hooked it up and was open from 7 am to midnight every day. I mean when Berk used to close for the half hour before dinner after lunch I would throw a hissy fit, I couldn't imagine what I'd do if it was closed after 7. So just a huge shout out for UMass being the most dominant dining services in the nation, I mean who needs W's in football when you got gluten-free Turkish meatballs am I right?
