Melo Thinking a Gold Medal is the Same as a Ring is INSANITY

We've had a bunch of story lines come out so far as the Olympics have been rolling along which we'll discuss on tomorrow's KR podcast. But I was watching His & Hers (quick side note His & Hers is the WORST sports show of all time, Michael Smith and Jemelle Hill STINK and have the most luke warm takes of all time) on ESPN today and saw the headline that Melo thinks winning a gold medal in the Olympics is just as good as winning a title. Get the funk outta here boys! It's not even a discussion! Nobody cares about how many medals you've won unless you're an Olympic athlete like Phelps or Usain and you're sports biggest stage is the Olympics. Counting medals in the major professional sports is something ESPN likes to do to make not that good athletes resumes look better. Don't get me wrong winning a gold for the ole Red, White, & Blue would be one of the greatest and proudest accomplishments of all time, but if you ask any athlete and they think a medal is as good as a ring it just means they need an excuse because they'll never win a title.

And not to mention the fact that it's basketball players saying this is even crazier. There is negative world competition in basketball. It'd be one thing if it was an NHLer or a baseball guy but the US literally just has to show up and they're gunna win the gold. Wake up Melo.

Also that hat is straight up preposterous, there is no shot in hell Melo actually looks in the mirror with that thing on and is like "yup this is it, this is the hat for me".

Also, also I once saw Melo run on the court and he's like the slowest and most unathletic person of all time, wicked underrated.
