Tim Tebow, the Quarterback, is Trying Out for the MLB (or Single A)

Tim Tebow, the great christian/horrible quarterback/fantastic winner, announced that at the end of the month he will be hosting a workout and he invited all MLB teams to attend. Tim pursuing a baseball career is a ridiculous idea for a multitude of reasons.

From a baseball perspective its a preposterous move. On a positive note, as he is a wildly athletic human, i wouldn't for see any issues in the field, i assume any professional athlete of the four major sports could play left field with slight competence. And on the base path, i assume his years of QB have left him with some sense and timing, so maybe he has a future as a starting pinch runner…However, if he thinks he can swing a bat i have some news for him. A professional athlete comes off an all-star break a bit rusty, Tim thinking that he can come off an 11 year baseball hiatus and face major/minor league caliber pitching is insane. The next issue, throwing. I once had a baseball coach who spent many years scouting for MLB teams, one thing he swore by was throwing a football in your free time. He said it has all the benefits of improving mechanics and arm strength. Sorry, Tim, cats out of the bag on this one. But i cant believe he would throw much worse muffins than Johnny Damon so we can count the arm as a wash.

I haven't heard of Tebow much over the past year besides the alleged comments that he would be speaking at the RNC which he quickly squashed. As a once head line name, i can assume he gets lonely when he's not the center of attention, but i don't think this is worth the publicity stunt. The only thing he has going for him post football career is that he's the token christian. He should have been content with his job at the SEC network, eventually his allure will wear off and it would have paid off more solidifying his spot as a commentator rather than hitting the cages. Especially since they just hired the ex-bachelorette star, Jordan Rodgers, to fill the “person who can maybe attract some uniquer viewers” role. And for those reasons, hit the showers, toss on the suit, and go crawling back to SEC Network headquarters before its too late, Timothy.

As a side note, i have a wild theory that Tim Tebow should really be responsible for the murders Aaron Hernandez committed. I feel like Tim played such an overbearing motherly role in the UF locker room that he pushed Aaron to act out that much more, hang with more goons, buy more guns, and shoot way more people for spilling their Hennessy and coke on him.

Ps. Russell Wilson not hacking it in baseball is one thing, but Michael Jordan not even making it to AAA should be the most ringing endorsement for not attempting baseball.

Kix Note: You're an IDIOT. Tim Tebow is the greatest athlete of our generation. Baseball is a joke compared to playing in the SEC. People forget he led a 1-4 Broncos squad to a win over 2 time Super Bowl Champ Big Ben Roethlisberger. He wins on every level, the only thing he needs is a fair shot. The only thing that ruined Tebow's illustious career was stupid coaches who didn't realize Tim has the rarest intangibale in all of sports, the It factor, Can't teach it, just born with it. You are an absolute DINK if you bet against Tim Tebow.
